We had climbed about 240 steps up the cliff face to Ia to see the famous sunset, totally knackered, desperate for a beer
- and what a view we got thrown in!

This is a scene I caught one morning down at the beach - the water taxi getting ready to set off round the headland to
the red sand beach. Never did get round to taking it myself, something else on my 'to go back to Santorini for' list

Well, the bed in the apartment was certainly different - made of tiles, concrete and some sort of mosaic.
Very comfy, apart from when I was drunk [who? me?] and cracked my knee on the side of it!

This is where we stayed, a lovely little place, nice walk downhill to the beach and bars [not quite as easy
to walk back with a few ouzos inside us though] Totally Greek, basic facilities, quirky plumbing etc, but as friendly and
homely as you could wish for.
